Match the distribution cabinet to its function
Power distribution, outdoor distribution, industrial socket supply and metering require different circuit and enclosure arrangements. Review the XL-21, XLW, XMC and XMJ families against the intended function. Where a page does not list a configuration-specific rating, request the corresponding technical schedule.
Define circuits, access and installation conditions
Provide supply voltage and frequency, incoming and outgoing currents, the circuit schedule, prospective fault level and required protection. State metering or socket details, cable entry, access, indoor/outdoor location and environmental exposure. Enclosure protection should be agreed for the actual design and installation.
For a larger lineup requiring a fixed or withdrawable switchgear arrangement, review the low-voltage switchgear catalogue and its construction comparison rather than choosing from cabinet appearance alone.
Agree the documents before production
Use the enquiry checklist for the design inputs and the FAT buyer checklist for the inspection and handover scope. Infrastructure applications provide context; the current equipment schedule defines the supplied circuits.
Send the circuit schedule and installation requirements for a configuration-specific review.
