XLW Distribution Cabinet is an outdoor fixed enclosed low-voltage distribution family. This page defines application and selection inputs. Configuration-specific electrical ratings require the corresponding technical schedule rather than values copied from a different cabinet.
XLW Distribution Cabinet Specifications
Product Scope
| Parameter | Specification / configuration |
|---|---|
| Equipment family | Low-voltage power distribution cabinet |
| Construction | Fixed, enclosed cabinet |
| Installation category | Outdoor installation |
| Electrical configuration | Defined by the incoming supply and outgoing circuit schedule |
Configuration Inputs
| Requirement | Information to specify |
|---|---|
| Electrical duty | System voltage, frequency, incoming current and fault level |
| Protection and circuits | Incoming/outgoing protective devices, circuit count and metering |
| Outdoor enclosure | Weather exposure, required IP rating, corrosion conditions and access |
| Installation interfaces | Dimensions, mounting, cable entry and earthing arrangement |
Ratings and options apply to the selected configuration. The agreed drawings and equipment schedule define the supplied assembly.
Define the outdoor duty
An outdoor cabinet requires an enclosure arrangement matched to the actual exposure and operating location. State whether it is installed in a sheltered area, an exposed industrial location or another project-specific setting. Required weather protection, locking, access and maintenance space should be included in the specification.
Develop the circuit arrangement
The final assembly is built around the agreed circuit schedule. Incoming isolation, outgoing protection, metering and auxiliary functions should be identified separately. The cable and protective-device arrangement is coordinated with the incoming duty and required outgoing loads.
Prepare the installation information
Provide a drawing or footprint restriction, the cable approach and the intended mounting arrangement. These inputs allow the enclosure layout and equipment interfaces to be reviewed together with the required electrical duty. The selected ratings, enclosure protection and documentation are then recorded for the project configuration.
