——Case 02 / 07 · Data Centers
Tier III+ campus with dual independent utility feeds.
A 2.0-billion-CNY national-class-A data center in Luzhou National High-Tech Zone — 3,000+ cabinets across more than 30,000 m², engineered for full 2N redundancy from 10 kV intake to rack PDU.
A hyperscale campus built to national class A.
Located in Luzhou National High-Tech Zone, the Sichuan Big Data Center is a 2.0-billion-CNY facility designed to Tier III+ and national class A standards and delivered in two phases. The full site spans more than 30,000 m² and houses over 3,000 cabinets with 1,000 PB of storage and 240,000 cloud hosts.
Phase 1 covers 20 mu and 13,000 m² of built-up area, with 12 modular data halls and 1,032 cabinets. The electrical backbone relies on dual independent utility feeds drawn from two separate substations — each sized for 50% of the load, with full failover so that either feed can carry the entire site when the other is lost. Every element from the 10 kV intake down to the rack PDU follows 2N redundancy: no single point of failure is permitted to interrupt IT power.
What this project demanded.
Continuous IT power is non-negotiable, so the design eliminates single points of failure end-to-end.
Dual independent utility feeds from two substations
Full 2N switchgear redundancy from 10 kV to PDU
Selective protection coordination up/down-stream
Online monitoring and predictive maintenance
Five-prevention MV switchgear safety interlocks
Tier III+ / National class A certified
What was delivered.
Dual independent intake, 2N switchgear and PDU redundancy, selective protection and intelligent O&M.
01
INTAKEDual-Source Utility Intake
The 10 kV utility supply is stepped down on site to 380/220 V through community distribution rooms, feeding both residential dwellings and shared facilities. The architecture matches the project’s mixed high-rise and townhouse typology and supports future load growth.
02
2N2N Switchgear and PDU Redundancy
From the 10 kV intake down to the rack PDU, switchgear is configured for 2N redundancy so that no single point of failure can interrupt IT power. Both paths are independently rated, separately protected and continuously monitored.
03
PROTECTION
Selective Protection Coordination
Upstream and downstream breaker protection settings are coordinated in graded steps so that a fault on a branch circuit is cleared by the nearest upstream device, isolating only the affected segment and keeping the rest of the white space energised.
04
O&M
ntelligent O&M
Online monitoring, condition assessment and predictive maintenance track thermal, electrical and breaker-state data across the distribution chain, allowing the operations team to identify degrading components before they affect service.
